Lost Wills: what can be done?In this webinar we will explore what happens when an original Will is lost after death.The webinar will be split into three parts:-- An overview of the practice and procedure.- A review of the most recent and relevant case law.- Real life examples Speakers:o Alexa Payet is a Partner at Michelmores. Alexa frequently advises on high value and/or complex probate and estate disputes, including invalidity claims, capacity and construction issues, as well as claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975. Alexa also advises families regarding the potential financial consequences of assisted suicide and make applications for relief from forfeiture under the Forfeiture Act 1982. o Georgia Wookey is an Associate at Michelmores. She specialises in a broad range of wills, trusts and probate disputes as well as contentious Court of protection work. Her practice also includes proprietary estoppel claims and matters involving Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (TOLATA). o Hannah McElroy is a Solicitor at Michelmores. Having qualified in October 2022, she joined Michelmores in October 2023 where she specialises in advising charities and private individuals on will, trust and probate disputes, whether that is in relation to will validity and construction, proprietary estoppel, management of an estate, or claims arising under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975.Target Audience: All fee earners practising in contentious and non-contentious probate
