Through the intertwined stories of two migrants - Dounia (the world) and Iman (faith), hailing from opposing communities - the play delves into the tensions and connections that shape their lives.Amidst chaos and conflict, they confront the pain and hope that define their journeys, drawing on echoes of spirituality and mysticism. Years later, they reunite in a fragile moment of reflection, grappling with the scars of the past and the possibility of healing.A spiritual and social narrative, When We Arrive invites us to reflect on the universal search for belonging, faith, and understanding in a fractured world. When We Arrive has been collaboratively crafted by members of Rawanee, a literary and performing arts organization dedicated to nurturing creativity and expression. We have run a number of amateur performances and readings over the last year and each has been loved by audiences!
