Art has always been used as a powerful form of expression. It plays a particularly important part for survivors of domestic abuse to convey their emotions, thoughts, and share their experiences when words cannot capture them in the right way.The creative process of creating art can help survivors to reclaim their sense of self, build self-esteem, develop resilience, and help on their journey to recovery. Art therapy can also provide a safe and supportive space for survivors to explore difficult memories and feelings. Art is known to support with providing a new perspective on their experiences, helping them to move forward and regain control over their lives.Join us at our emotive art exhibition - 'When words are not enough' - showcasing the artwork of NIDAS survivors as they share their stories and experiences. Enjoy seeing and hearing various forms of art, and learn more about how art has helped survivors.
