Where Freedom Finds Us

Where Freedom Finds Us

ArtsEkta - Fountain StreetBelfast, Northern Ireland
Sunday, Mar 29 from 6 pm to 9 pm GMT+1
Overview

A night of storytelling and performances

This is one of the festival's Pay What You Can events.

A special evening of storytelling created by and for women and non-binary people of colour, bringing our community together to explore the theme of freedom—what it means, how it feels, and the many ways it shows up in our lives. Through personal stories, movement, and sound, our performers will share their expressions of liberation, resilience, and joy.

The programme will feature a curated selection of readers from our community, as well as a dance performance and a musical instrumental performance, offering a rich blend of creative forms and perspectives.

Our gathering will take place at the ArtsEkta Hub, a culturally vibrant space founded by the incredible Nisha, whose work continues to uplift and support women from diverse backgrounds across Northern Ireland. It will be a beautiful evening dedicated not only to platforming minority voices but also to building connection, belonging, and community.
