About this event

White Lotus Day – A Celebration of Peace, Wisdom & Remembrance

Thursday, 8th May 2025 | 6:00 – 8:30 PM

The Glasgow Theosophical Society, 17 Queens Crescent, G4 9BL

Join us in commemorating White Lotus Day, a sacred observance held in remembrance of Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, the co-founder of the Theosophical Society. This special evening honours her enduring legacy and the contributions of Theosophists—past and present—who have dedicated their lives to the search for truth, wisdom, and unity.

This year’s White Lotus Day holds added resonance as it coincides with VE Day’s 80th anniversary, reminding us not only of the sacrifices made for peace but of the spiritual work still unfolding in our world today. Through the white lotus—symbol of purity, rebirth, and peace—we gather to affirm our commitment to harmony, reflection, and service.

We are honoured to welcome Avi Lago, TS Librarian, who will host the evening and introduce Prana Prabhu Ji, who will offer profound insights on the Bhagavad Gita, guide meditations, and lead kirtan and bhajan in a shared vibration of peace and upliftment.

Our gathering will also be graced by Priestess Jane Rush, who will guide a ceremonial invocation of the Egyptian goddess Hathor—goddess of joy, love, and beauty—embracing the white lotus as our collective symbol of inner and outer peace.

All are welcome to this evening of spiritual depth, reflection, and shared purpose.

Donations are welcome.
