Overview

Wholeness Solution: Embedding Context, Identity & EDI in Training & Practice Workshop with Mamood Ahmad

What if social context and equity wasn’t an add-on, but built into helping and training from the very beginning?

In readiness to meet the requirements of SCoPEd by embedding context, identity, and diversity throughout training and practice.

Mamood Ahmad introduces the Wholeness Solution, a bold, practice-based framework that embeds normativity, diversity, equity and inclusion at the foundation of helping. It includes a learning, teaching, and practice approach; curriculum transition; organisational and practice integration; as well as a full baseline curriculum modelled in his book A New Introduction to Counselling & Psychotherapy (Routledge).

Rather than separating context, culture and identity from “mainstream” practice, this approach integrates them from the outset - including neurodiversity, power, embodiment, worldviews, trauma, intersectionality and lived experience.

The aim is simple but radical: reduce fragmentation in traditional helping models and minimise the risk of harm or inadequate provision.

The training includes access to free, shareable models to support embedded EDI in real-world settings.
