Join us at Southampton Solent University for the Wightlink FastCat Ferry Shore Power Feasibility Study (CMDC6) event.

The programme will cover the full scope of the project:

· Opening Overview: Introduction to the project context and its importance for the UK clean maritime agenda.

· Feasibility Findings: The core technical and economic outcomes, including technology selection, energy and emission analysis, and the costed demonstration plan for Portsmouth and Ryde terminals.

· Autonomous Power Systems: WAPS and how shore power integrates with the vessel’s electrical architecture.

· Skills & Safety Analysis: The outline maritime skills requirements, the HAZID framework, Bow‑Tie methodology, and operational competence for shore power.

· Simulation & Digital Twin Work: Findings from our Warsash Maritime School Engine Room simulations, including rapid connection cycling, battery performance, and emergency response scenarios.

Each presentation will last 15 minutes, followed by a Q&A session with all presenters.

The entry is free - tea, coffee, and refreshments will be provided. The final hour (4:00–5:00 PM) is reserved for informal networking with the project team.
