Join arachnologist, Dr Geoff Oxford, for a hands-on wild workshop on spiders!
In this hands-on wild workshop on spiders, you’ll find out more about how to sample spiders and test out your knowledge in a field session, as well as examining live and preserved spiders under the microscope and improving your spider identification skills.

Accessibility and terrain
This event is wheelchair accessible. There are height adjustable benches available to anyone who may need them in the lab.
Please let us know at checkout if you have any access requirements that you would like to make us aware of and/or require any additional support to fully participate in this event. We aim to accomodate wherever possible.
What to bring/wear
You will be spending around 1 hour out on campus so please bring sturdy footwear and appropriate clothing for the weather.
All materials and equipment needed to participate in this event are provided however if you do have any spider identification books and would like to bring them along, please do!
Toilets and catering
There are toilets on campus, including accessible toilets.
Please bring your own food and drink with you. There is a kettle, microwave and fridge available for you to use and a lounge area to break in. Tea and coffee will be provided.

Cancellation and refunds
In the situation that Yorkshire Wildlife Trust needs to cancel an event we will be in touch regarding your booking via email and our Supporter Services team will process the refund of your tickets as soon as possible. Please allow up to 5 working days for this to happen. If you, or members of your party, are unable to attend your booked event, you are eligible for a refund up to 7 days before the event date.
