About this event

In this workshop you will hand craft two to three beautiful willow swallows to celebrate the most eagerly awaited returning migrant birds. You will weave with local, sustainable Northumbrian willow and learn traditional techniques. Justine will share her knowledge of this amazing versatile natural material and the soaking process of preparing willow for projects.

Hang your swallow sculpture art pieces on a wall, inside or outside.

This workshop is suitable for adult and young adult crafters alike, who are keen to learn new techniques. Approx 15+

All materials and refreshments will be provided.

If you have a favourite pair of secatures then do bring.

By bike, I have a yard to leave it in or chain up outside The Workshop.

By metro, I am 5 mins walk between Cullercoats and Whitley Bay metro.

By car, there is non-permit parking 10m down from The Workshop, opposite on Alma Place, Margaret Road is a few minutes walk.
