Overview

Join the Coddiwomplers to explore the use of willow in Forest school and outdoor learning.

Come and join the Coddiwomplers, Stuart and Emma, for a fun relaxed day of willow weaving in the woods. The Coddiwomplers are experienced basket makers, school teachers and Forest School practitioners.

Together we will explore a progression in willow weaving – from wrapping through to simple basket making. We’ll also look at buying, storing and preparing willow for use.

You’ll go home with lots of practical ideas and projects you’ll be able to use in your in your Forest School setting as well as a pile of lovely things you’ve made.

Please come suitably prepared for the British weather and wear stout shoes or boots.

Please bring:

  • A mug
  • A camera if you wish
  • A packed lunch

Tea and coffee will be served throughout the day and are included in the price.
