Houghall College is thrilled to offer hands-on workshops led by the renowned Ruth Thompson of Sylvan Skills.

Are you ready to unlock your creativity and embark on a journey into the world of willow weaving?

You’ll have the chance to explore a variety of stunning designs and techniques. All you need to bring is yourself and your imagination!

Make two types of bird feeders, a simple one, where one gets the feel for working with Willow takes about 30 minutes at the most. Then a more complex one in which one will learn various willow weaving techniques, including plain weaving, pairing and three rod waling.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, this workshop is tailored for everyone.

The sessions will take place in the Small Animal Care building, conveniently located with car parking available at the front.

This is a perfect opportunity to learn a timeless craft in a welcoming and inspiring setting.
