Winter Sit and Sew - One Day Workshop
This is a come along and sew day. You may have previously attended one of my classes or perhaps you are just interested in sewing socially.
“My soul is fed with needle and thread”
Who is this day for?
This day is for those who've either attended one of my classes before or are already able to sew but would like the space, company and guidance throughout the day.
Details
This is not a structured event, I will not run a lesson, but it gives you the opportunity to take time out in a big space to get on with your sewing, pick my brain and chat with like-minded people. If you have attended one of my classes before but need a reminder on how to do something, come along, I will help you figure it out or give you a recap.
Please Note: This is for beginners or intermediate sewist. I do not cover tailoring or very complex sewing and dressmaking. Please message me if you are unsure what to bring.

What will I make during the day?
This is a freestyle day where you make what you want. I will be on hand to advise, and I will bring a few kits if you're unsure what you want to do. It's unlike my usual class, where we all make something together, but rather a social space to give yourself time to make and do. No materials are provided although I will bring some bits and pieces if you just want to turn up and sew.
Please bring to class:
- Sewing machine (please ensure it works. If you don't have a sewing machine, it may be possible to rent one from me but please contact me first to confirm).
- Your basic sewing kit.
- Thread.
- The project/s you are going to work on.
Refreshments
Tea and coffee is provided. There is nowhere nearby to get lunch so please bring a packed lunch with you.
Parking
There is free parking at Westbury.
Testimonials
A lovely way to spend the day! Great to have the time to finish off all those projects that end up half done. Really inspiring to share tips and pick Steph's sewing brain. Pippa
It's lovely to have the time and space to just sew and have Steph there for support. Carol
A good way to build on the skills previously learned and build my confidence. Conversation is good too. Zena
