Winter Solstice Singing Circle

Winter Solstice Singing Circle

Chelwood Gate Village HallHaywards Heath, England
Sunday, Dec 21 from 4 pm to 6 pm GMT
Overview

Mark the winter solstice with this nourishing singing circle. Open to all, no experience necessary.

Join me for this Winter Solstice Singing Circle, when we will bemarking the longest night of the year, moving from the darkness into welcoming the returning sunlight.

We will gather in Chelwood Gate Village Hall before heading into the woods to sing a song or two by candlelight. After a short time in the woods, we will head back into our cosy circle inside for more singing and a moment to acknowledge how we have been wintering and what we hope for the lengthening days ahead.

Be held by the harmonies and the circle, take a moment to reflect on any endings or new beginnings you may be walking with or welcoming in and enjoy solstice moment.

Whilst this circle will be open to and welcomes children over 8 years old, the intention of the circle will be honouring the solstice - the longest night, rest, wintering, germinating and new beginnings - so it will be a nourishing, gentle and cosy circle and I leave it to you to decide if this is something your young ones will enjoy.

Open to everyone - all adults and children (over 8 years). No experience necessary - all parts will be taught by ear.
