Winter Wildlife Walk
Sun 27 November 2016, 10:00 – 12:00 GMT
Join our expert ornithologist Jack Ashton-Booth for this guided walk through the stunning Yorkshire Wolds countryside to spot winter wildlife and then enjoy paintings by acclaimed artist Robert E Fuller at his gallery in Thixendale. Jack Ashton-Booth will point out birds that have left northern Europe to spend their winter here, including fieldfares, and will also teach you how to read deer and hare tracks.
This walk will involve a steep climb and requires a medium level of fitness. Please wear appropriate, sturdy footwear and clothing to suit the weather – windproof jacket, fleece etc. It can get very cold on the Wolds at this time of year so please don't underestimate how many layers you will need. Bring a hat and gloves too! Also bring binoculars if you have them.
