Mae’r gweithdy wedi’i ddylunio i fyfyrwyr PhD ac ECRs sy’n gweithio gyda ffynonellau data cymysg, yn ogystal â’r rhai hynny sy’n ystyried cymysgu ffynonellau data.

• Nod y gweithdy yw darparu sylfaen drylwyr i'r rhai sy'n bwriadu defnyddio ffynonellau data cymysg yn eu hymchwil.

• Ei nod yw tynnu sylw at y dadleuon damcaniaethol sy'n sail i'r defnydd o wahanol ddulliau methodolegol.

• Mae'n archwilio goblygiadau ymarferol defnyddio dulliau cymysg o gasglu data hyd at ddadansoddiadau, cyflwyniad a chyhoeddiadau.

• Bydd yn trafod y paradeimau sy’n sail i MMR, yn amlinellu rhai o’r egwyddorion i’w hystyried - dylunio ymchwil, triongli, dadansoddi - a chynnig y cyfle i ddefnyddio cymysgedd o ddata i edrych ar fanteision a chyfyngiadau MMR.

Ar ddiwedd y gweithdy, dylai'r cyfranogwyr fod yn fwy hyderus wrth ymgysylltu ag ymchwil dulliau cymysg.

The workshop is designed for PhD students and ECRs who are working with mixed data sources, as well as those who are considering the mixing of data sources.

The workshop aims to provide a thorough grounding to those planning to use mixed data sources in their research.
It aims to highlight the theoretical debates underpinning the use of different methodological approaches.
It explores the practical implications of using mixed methods from data collection through to analyses, presentation, and publications.
It will discuss the paradigms underpinning MMR, outline some of the principles to be considered –research design, triangulation, analyses – and provide an opportunity to use a mixture of data to explore the advantages and limitations of MMR.

At the end of the workshop, participants should feel greater confidence in engaging with mixed methods research.
