Women and Resilience: Collage Making Workshop
Celebrate women’s resilience and empowerment in this creative collage workshop. Share stories, learn collage techniques and connect!
Join us for a welcoming and creative collage workshop celebrating the resilience and empowerment of women. Led by artist Morgan, this session invites women to explore personal and collective stories through collage-making in a supportive, relaxed environment.
Participants will be guided through simple collage techniques and encouraged to create artwork inspired by themes of strength, resilience, identity, and empowerment.
All materials will be provided, along with tea, coffee, and light snacks.
No previous art experience is needed.
There will be opportunities to share stories and reflect together but sharing is always optional. This is a space for curiosity, expression and connection.
This free, drop-in session takes place at Galleon Arts Centre and is open to all women.
The workshop is part of the Pivotal Programme, supported by the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. Morgan (Lewis) is developing an artwork for International Women’s Month in March, inspired by the stories and experiences of women from the Caribbean diaspora. If you're of Caribbean heritage she would particularly love you to join the workshop or get in touch to include you in her research and development of this work.
