Do I need any previous experience?

No experience is necessary! Our team will provide all the tools, training, and guidance you need. These sessions are suitable for beginners and experienced volunteers alike.

What should I bring?

Please wear sturdy footwear and dress for the weather. Bring water, snacks, and any personal items you need for comfort. All tools and safety equipment are provided.

How long is the session?

Most sessions run from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, first time volunteers are invited to join from 10:30 to 12:00. If appropriate there may be the option to join for the rest of the session. You’re welcome to join for the whole day or part of it—just let us know in advance.

Where do we meet?

Meeting points vary by location and will be included in your confirmation email or if you contact josef.williams@tcv.org.uk directly for instructions and a what3words reference. Look out for TCV signage or team members in TCV clothing.

Is there an age limit?

Volunteers must be 18 or over unless accompanied by a responsible adult and arranged with the session leader in advance.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We work outdoors in most conditions, but if severe weather is forecast, we’ll contact you by email or phone to confirm any changes.

Absolutely! Just make sure they register through Eventbrite so we have their details for safety and insurance purposes.

Yes! Our sessions include practical conservation techniques such as meadow management, tree planting, and habitat creation. You’ll gain hands-on experience and knowledge about local biodiversity.
