The Inverharroch landscape has long been shaped by sheep and the skilled farmers who tend them. This workshop highlights the importance and value of local fleece production and shares practical ways you can help sustain this vital rural .

Guided by an experienced tutor from Westfield Croft, you’ll get up close and hands on with raw fleece and learn every stage of preparation, including:

  • Understanding the unique characteristics of sheep’s fleece
  • Skirting fleece correctly
  • Rolling, washing, and drying
  • Picking and carding fibre into a carded batt

Along the way, you’ll discover how your prepared fleece can be transformed into creative projects such as spinning, weaving, felting, and more.
