Though there is a community of WriteClubbers who regularly come to workshops both online and in real life.WriteCluboffers workshops to help you get words down on the page, to help you deal with procrastination and to get feedback on your work.What if I haven't written anything before?Well, that's probably not true - we've all written stuff at some point. Basically we're here to create a space for you to get words out. It doesn't matter where you are with your writing. Perhaps you're half way through a second novel. Perhaps you haven't written more than a shopping list in years. Wherever you're at, we'll have a session to suit you.I really want to work one-to-one rather than in a group. Can I do that?Sure. Pop us an email at hellowriteclub@gmail.com and we'll arrange a time to chat about our mentoring packages.Who leads the sessions?Workshops are mostly led by WriteClubber-in-chief, Alison Powell. She's been running writing workshops forever (seriously, she even used to get her primary school friends writing stories...) and established WriteClub in 2016. She supports new and established writers and runs regular workshops on all aspects of the writing craft. She is an award winning writer, published in various anthologies and magazines and holds an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa.She has years of experience as a secondary English & Drama teacher and is also a fully fledged INLPTA certified Master Practitioner of NLP and coaching. She is an active member of NAWE and a channel partner with Paper Nations.She believes that everyone has the right to express themselves in writing and runs all her sessions with a positive approach and a genuine passion for helping people set their words free. Her love of poetry and story, along with her enthusiasm for helping people find the best in themselves are reflected in her lively, welcoming and open presentation style. She promises to do her very best to ensure you find the support you need to make your writing feel wonderful.

Work in Progress - Thursday morningsA five week online series of creative writing workshops designed to help you get your words out.Every Thursday from 9th April 10-11:30amIf you want to write creative prose and need help finding motivation and time this is the course with you.With regular weekly meetings, quality feedback, deadlines and support, both from experienced writer and coach, Alison Powell, and a team of like-minded writers, you can expect to:* develop a piece of creative prose writing (flash fiction, short stories, novels, hybrids and experiments all welcome)* get a regular writing habit going* find a way through writer's block* stay committed to your writing (even in these crazy times)* feel part of a dedicated and supportive writing community* receive good quality constructive feedback on your writing* learn about narrative structure, character development and more.You can reap the benefits of:* weekly meetings* small workshop groups* super strict deadlines to help you keep your writing on trackYou'll be expected to produce 500-1000 words for each session and to read other people's work between meetings.What others have said:Write Club is everything it sets out to be and more.
