Work Together, Separately | Deep Work Café Sessions
Get more done than you would at home while meeting like-minded people along the way. More productivity, more community, no networking vibes.
Deep work, without the isolation.
Remote work gave us flexibility, but it quietly removed a lot of the casual community that made work feel human.
On May 14th, Creative Blocks Club launches in Toronto.
A free pop up where remote workers, freelancers, creatives, founders, and students spend the day doing structured silent work together inside real cafés.
No networking circles. No awkward icebreakers. No pretending to be “on.”
Just people quietly building things beside each other again.

☕ What actually happens
Creative Blocks Club is structured around intentional work.
At the beginning of each session, people briefly share what they want to accomplish.
Then we put phones away, open laptops, and quietly work beside each other.
At the end of each block, we check back in.
Some people finish huge milestones.
Some people finally start the thing they’ve been avoiding for weeks.
Both count.
The structure is there to help you begin.
The people around you help you keep going.
🌆 Why cafés?
Because cafés are one of the last places where people can quietly exist around other humans without needing a reason.
Creative Blocks Club is built around independent cafés because remote workers don’t just need WiFi.
They need atmosphere. Familiar faces. Momentum. A reason to leave the house.
The internet made work remote.
We’re trying to make it human again.
👩💻 Who comes
People here are usually building something.
A startup. A portfolio. A screenplay. A career pivot. A side project. An escape plan.
Some people lock in for every block.
Some spend half the afternoon trying to answer one impossible email.
Both are welcome.
🤝 A few things worth knowing
- Most people come alone
- This is not networking focused
- You can leave early
- You do not need to socialize constantly
- You do not need to be extroverted
The point is simple:
Do meaningful work beside other humans.
✅ Already hosted
Creative Blocks Club started in Medellín while I, Rodrigo, was on vacation.
In that time:
- 15 sessions hosted
- 35+ single attendees. 94% of people came back.
- countless postponed tasks finally started
Toronto is the next chapter.
Come work with us.
That task you’ve been avoiding? Bring it.
