About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

The North East Anti-Racism Coalition is a group of individuals and organisations who are committed to helping make the North East an anti-racist, anti-Muslim hatred and anti-hate region. Please note that our language and approach are still evolving as we take a co-creation approach to our movement.

Following on from the success of our five previous events, the Coalition is excited to announce that our sixth event will focus on how we can continue to take action to realise our ambition for an anti-racist, anti-Muslim hate and anti-hate region.

We know there is no quick fix to this work, and this is why we, as a movement, have developed four themes to work towards: Anti-Racism Accountability & Leadership, Community Engagement, Education and Awareness and Communication.

Our working groups for these themes have now started work to develop our priorities. We want you to hear what they are doing (and of course, you are also welcome to get involved), and how their work will help us to realise our overall ambition.

We have already heard about some fantastic local anti-racism success stories and we will hear from some more at this meeting. We would also like you to share any success stories that you have come across.

This event will be held in Hartlepool.
