Event description

Description

The construction industry has taken huge strides forward in tackling risk and reducing injury rates over recent years, but still has a significant opportunity to make our high-hazard industry safer and to drive down the alarming rates of accident and ill health linked to construction work.

Of the 144 fatal injuries reported by the HSE for 2017/2018, falls from height accounted for 35 (25 per cent of the total), making it the single biggest cause of fatalities.

This FREE half-day event will provide self-employed builders and small construction companies with practical, up-to-date information and advice on staying safe while working at height.

The event will consist of talks and demonstrations with the opportunity to ask questions from representatives of the Access Industry Forum, the forum for the principal trade associations and federations involved in work at height. You will also be able to put questions to an HSE inspector.

Each AIF organisation represents a different sector of the access industry and fosters and supports codes of good practice, equipment standards, training, education and knowledge.

Every attendee will receive a FREE AIF Height Safety PocketCard,

Whether you are a self-employed jobbing builder or run a small building company, this FREE event is a must!
