Working With Audio-Visual Data
Open to all Staff and Postgraduate Students of Universities in London
Learn how to prepare audiovisual data such as interviews or observational filming for analysis. We will use the free open-source software ELAN to create transcriptions, translations and coding that are time-aligned to the original recordings and then search across a set of transcribed recordings for coded sequences.
Please bring your own laptop and install ELAN before you come: https://tla.mpi.nl/tools/tla-tools/elan/
Presented by Sophie Salffner, Endangered Languages Archive (ELAR)
Places limited to 10 on a first come first served basis
