There is a growing need to support the mental health and wellbeing of employees in workplaces across Nottingham City. The pandemic has exacerbated rates of stress and anxiety for many (particularly for key workers and those with a pre-existing mental health condition) and it is expected that the uncertainty of the cost-of-living crisis is also likely to impact upon the mental health of those in employment. We want to hear from people who work in a variety of jobs in Nottingham City to understand about their lived experience of mental health and wellbeing at work. We are keen to learn about the extent to which mental heath is a priority for employers, whether the culture around mental health is open and supportive in the workplace, and the availability/provision of information and/or resources provided at work for mental health and wellbeing. We’re also interested to understand how Nottingham City Council can best provide support for employers of all sizes and sectors to be better equipped to create a workplace environment where employees can thrive. The information we collect will help to inform the development of a workplace mental wellbeing intervention for Nottingham City employers, led by Public Health at Nottingham City Council. Who is this event for? This event is for anyone who works in Nottingham City and would like to share their experiences of mental health and wellbeing at work. Whether you are an employee, manager, senior leader or business owner, we are keen to hear from individuals working at all levels of an organisation. We are keen to hear from people that have had to leave work because of their mental health to understand what more could have been done to support them at the time. We would also like to hear from community leaders or people who work in organisations that work closely with local people such as people who work in voluntary organisations, mental health or care services. Where: The venue is Antenna Nottingham, 9A Beck St, Nottingham NG1 1EQ. Light refreshments will be provided. The organiser: This event is organised by the Nottingham Collaborative for better Mental Health which is part of the Nottingham City Place Based Partnership. The Place Based Partnership brings together all the organisations that can influence health and wellbeing in the city to support the needs of the people who live here. At the event we will have more information about the Mental Health Collaborative and how to join it. We are also holding two further Let’s Talk Events on:1. Mental and physical health and information market place - Tuesday 17th October - 9.30am till 1pm https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/676503308607Travel expense reimbursement The process of reimbursing travel expenses requires you to show your travel, parking ticket or petrol receipts on the day and to provide your bank details. We may take a photo of the ticket or ask you to email us a copy of the receipt for our evidence. We will provide a form for you to fill in on the day of the event. This will then be sent to our finance department who will then process the payment and reimburse travel expenses via BACS by the following week.
