About workshop 1: An introduction to Linkedin and writing an effective headline

In this workshop you will:

• discuss your current LinkedIn profile
• learn about the different LinkedIn sections

• write an effective Headline

You will carry out exercises which are based on the book material from Practical English Language Skills for Lawyers: Improving Your Legal English (Routledge, 2023)

Natasha Costello and Louise Kulbicki will be giving these workshops together. Natasha and Louise are both experienced legal English teachers and are the co-authors of Practical English Language Skills for Lawyers: Improving Your Legal English (Routledge, 2023)

Who are these workshops for?

These workshops are for lawyers and law students who want to learn legal English and develop and enhance their English LinkedIn profile. You can come to these sessions if you don’t have a profile yet but you want to create one, have a profile in your own language and want to translate it, or have an English profile but want to improve it.

What will I learn?

The aim of these workshops is to help you develop and enhance your LinkedIn profile in English. You will learn language through discussions, listening exercises, role-plays and practical writing exercises.

How long does each workshop last?

Each workshop lasts one hour.

Where will the workshops take place?

The workshops will take place online, on Zoom. You will be sent a Zoom link after registration.

How much do the workshops cost?

You can register for one or more workshops. Each workshop is independent, for example, you do not need to attend workshop 1 to be able to attend workshop 2. However, we recommend you attend all 4 workshops.
