Artists and non artists alike will be helped and encouraged to make their own masterpieces using readily available art apps on an iPad or android tablet. Working from photographs of Somerset landscapes, or drawing from the wonderful artefacts in the museum, enjoy painting and drawing without getting messy!

This is a fun session exploring digital creation with Alison but will also benefit the discerning artist who wants to develop their digital skills or learn how using a tablet can benefit their arts practice.

Bring your own device or use our tablets for this special workshop (please let us know if you would like to borrow an iPad so that one can be reserved for you). You can also bring a stylus if you have one but its not vital.

About the Artist

Alison's artwork often explores the county’s rural landscape and environment, which is an important influence over her practice. Alison has been exploring iPad painting as a way of capturing a scene in situ for several years. She also paints in a range of media, and enjoys the interlay of digital media with the traditional craft of painting.

She helped build, set up and run Contains Art as a volunteer Director and studio holder where she worked in a shipping container on the East Quay of Watchet for 3 years. She is an avid sketchbook and iPad Artist and loves to share her passion for art in her workshops. She now has the Mayfly Studio in Watchet.
