Workshop: JavaScript - 12 hours over 2 days
The workshop
Learn the basics for styling websites by getting introduced to JavaScript, one of the most popular programming languages in the job market. Join this workshop and continue your journey to become a web developer.
This workshop covers everything you will need to start learning JavaScript, including variable definitions, prototypes and methods. We will end the workshop with a script that you can follow to continue learning JavaScript and other content after the workshop.
If the workshop goes well, we might venture into other related technologies, such as jQuery and other libraries.
The workshop will be held in English or Portuguese, depending on attendants' majority language.
Location
This is an online workshop, run using remote screen sharing tools.

Schedule
The workshop is scheduled for 2 days, Saturday and Sunday, from 10AM to 5PM.
On the first day we should be ready to start at 10:00AM, so it would be ideal for you to be ready to join the online meeting at around 9:30AM so we can get to know each other and get things ready.
An hour long break is scheduled for lunch as well as some frequent breaks during the day.
Requirements
You'll need a computer with internet access along with a headset and a microphone and optionally a webcam.
You'll be sent a link to a screen sharing session that will open the organiser's screen.
Optionally, you can download and install Microsoft's Visual Studio Community (https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/thank-you-downloading-visual-studio/?sku=community&ch=pre&rel=16) which has some tools that will help you work.
