WORKSHOP ONLY - 12y+ Workshops
The Showcase slots are now fully booked but you can still attend the workshops only.
Come join us at Sound & Art St Swithun’s for a day of music based workshops.
Delivered by the amazingly talented Theone* and Poppy WS**
The workshops will be very informal, no powerpoints or worksheets, more fun and interactive singing / playing.
Workshop themes:
How to be confident on stage - How to give a good performance, how to connect with your audience, group confidence building games and a chance for young people to rehearse and receive some tips and peer feedback
How to stay calm and relaxed before and during your performance - tips on breathing / mindfulness exercises, how to relieve nerves and stress in the body.
Introduction to songwriting - Where to start, a guided writing session, how to structure your songs, group collaboration, adding music.
Learn Looping (12y+) looping demo and tutorial, group collaboration.
Merch making - Get creative and make some Worcester Emerging Talent merchandise, we’ll be making pin badges and decorating tote bags to sell on performance night (proceeds will go to a local charity chosen by the group)
Bring snacks and lunch with you.
If you are playing an instrument please bring it with you.
Attending the workshop does not mean you have to perform in the Showcase but we would like you to and we will support and encourage you all the way.
The Showcase will take place on Wednesday 18th February - Doors at 6pm / performances from 6.30pm
