Manchester Parent Carer Forum (MPCF formerly PACT) is funded by the Department for Education and aims to work in partnership with Manchester City Council, Health and Education settings to shape and influence services, to ensure they are fit for purpose and meet the needs of disabled children, young people and their families living in Manchester.MPCF understands the day to day challenges faced by parent-carers, as we are parent-carers too. The aim of MPCF is to give parent-carers a voice and to make their views heard in the improvement of services for our children.

We're looking for parents to plan and co-present a new parent workshop that we are co-producing with One Education.

Do you have a child or young person who struggles with attending school due to anxiety? Are you familiar with Anxiety-Based School Avoidance?If so then we would like to invite you to join us in planning a new Anxiety-Based School Avoidance (ABSA) parent workshop that we are co-producing with educational psychologists from One Education.As a parent/carer with lived experience of ABSA, your feedback will be instrumental in the development of this workshop. You will also have an opportunity to get involved during the actual training session later in the year, as well as with potentially developing an ABSA information booklet for parents.Please inform us of any dietary requirements when booking, as we intend to bring food and refreshments at the meeting.
