Overview

Join local craftswoman and spoon carver Fay Jones in the woods and hand carve your own spoons and spatulas to take home with you.

Join local craftswoman Fay Jones for a relaxing day of spoon carving in the woods.

We will be outside in the purpose-built craft area, sheltered from the elements and with a fire. We will start by selecting and splitting our wood, which we will then use to carve a teaspoon or dessert spoon with knives and spoon knives. After lunch we will use shave horses and drawknives to make a larger spoon or spatula

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and stout footwear, bring a packed lunch and a mug.

Tea and coffee will be provided.

You can find out more about Fay and see her upcoming events at The Woodland Haberdasher | Wild Crafts and Workshops. Fay runs several courses with us at Bradfield Woods throughout the year, so check back on our events page for the latest course information.

Price includes all tools and materials on the day.

Places are non-refundable unless the course is cancelled.
Suffolk Wildlife Trust reserves the right to cancel a course and, in these circumstances, will fully refund course fees.
