Workshop: Spoon Making with Alex Carpenter

MAKE Southwest is a crafts charity with a gallery based in Bovey Tracey, Dartmoor. Our mission is to share the joy of making with everyone and connect people through craft. In 2019 we welcomed 160,000 visitors through our doors and over 11,000 visitors observed craft demonstrations, met artists and makers and took part in making activities within our galleries.

Spoon Making with Alex Carpenter

10.30-4.30 with a lunch break
A one day spoon carving workshop suitable for complete beginners or those with some woodwork experience. You will learn the basics of wood carving including use of tools and choice of wood, and you will go home with your own spoon. There will be the option to buy the tools you have used at the end of the day.
All tools and materials will be provided.
 
£60, booking essential. Please bring an apron and wear old clothes.
Lunch is not provided but you can buy it in the Terrace Café or other places nearby, or bring a packed lunch.
