Workshop- The Practicalities

Every year in May, Dying Matters and their coalition members host an Awareness Week, which gives us an unparalleled opportunity to place the importance of talking about dying, death and bereavement firmly on the national agenda.In 2022, the week will run from 2nd to the 6th of May and the theme will be "In A Good Place". Dying Matters for more than just one week of the year so Dying Matters in Essex will be planning to hold events sporadically throughout the year.

We will all die one day so why not ensure that it happens in the best way? Join us for this practical workshop on how to begin making plans.

<blockquote>Thank you for taking part in Dying Matters Awareness Week 2021. This year, we are focusing on the importance of being in a good place to die.</blockquote><blockquote>Where people die is changing. More and more people have been dying at home in recent years. And the pandemic has seen this number leap by tens of thousands.</blockquote><blockquote>There is no right or wrong place to die; it will be different for everyone. But it is important for people to think about it, to talk about it and to plan for it.</blockquote><blockquote>We want people of all ages to be in a good place when they die – physically, emotionally and with the right care in place.</blockquote>This practical workshop will have three activities running in parallel. Please select one ticket to attend one workshop. You cannot attend all three workshops as they will be running at the same time.
