Looking to get an insight into new ways of making theatre? Join <a href="https://www.thepappyshow.co.uk/home/about-the-pappyshow" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The PappyShow</a> for a practical workshop exploring their approach to creating and devising work.This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from a company who are at the forefront of physical theatre and collaborative work, thinking carefully about the stories we tell and how we tell them. When you use your voice and lived experience to create, you are giving the world a gift that only you can give. So celebrate yourself and your ability to create something beautiful and unique. The PappyShow's approach centres Joy and Play thinking specifically about carving out spaces to lean into these experiences. Through this workshop, you will gain a better understanding of how these approaches can be used to improve your own work and movement experiences.This workshop is suitable for adults of all levels. No previous theatre-making/performing experience necessary. Performers, Directors, Teachers, Makers, Dancers, Writers, Devisors, Movement Directors and those curious to start creating.Restoke are hosting this free workshop as part of our <a href="https://bac.org.uk/moving-roots/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Moving Roots</a> collaboration with The PappyShow who will be recreating their show What Do You See? in Stoke-on-Trent. When: Saturday 29th November 10-4pmWhere: Fenton Town Hall, Albert Square, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 3FAParking: Free on surrounding roads (Baker Street and Gimson Street)Accessibility: There is a disabled parking bay on Gimson Street opposite the flat entrance to the Town Hall. Please let us know in advance if you need access until we get a ramp installed on the front of the building. Inside there is stairs or a lift to the first floor Ballroom. There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor and the first floor.Facilities: There is baby changing facilities on both the ground floor and first floor toilets. The first floor toilets are all gender neutral.Cafe: There is a cafe located on the ground floor.
