World Ocean Week CPD workshop for educators

World Ocean Week CPD workshop for educators

Online event
Overview

Join us for a live, online workshop to learn how to bring the ocean into your teaching and inspire whole-school action from your classroom

What can I expect?

Join the Marine Conservation Society to explore how you can empower your pupils to take action for our seas and expand their knowledge and understanding of the ocean. Discover how you can bring ocean literacy to life outside of the usual subjects - science and geography - while directly linking to other core curriculum areas.

How will this benefit me?

It’s the perfect opportunity to increase your understanding of ocean literacy and your confidence in developing a cross-curricular approach to learning. Taking part can also help your school reach its sustainability goals and help nurture a deeper connection to our blue planet.

Date: Thursday 11th June 2026
Time: 16:00-17:00

Open to all educators. For any questions, please get in touch with the team at education@mcsuk.org.

World Ocean Week 2026

This year, the Marine Conservation Society are celebrating World Ocean Day (8th June) for a whole week!

With the UK’s Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) launching in 2027, we’ll be focusing on drinks-related pollution throughout the week to shine a spotlight on collective action and prove why DRS is so necessary.
