About this event
- Event lasts 1 hour
The 2025 Wrington Primary School Fun Run is generously supported by The Club and Spa, Cadbury House, Congresbury. https://www.theclubandspabristol.co.uk/
The annual fun run takes place on a mostly flat route of just under 5km around the village. It takes place on public roads and is suitable for reception age kids (runing with an adult) and above, with no upper age limit.
The run is timed and there are prizes for the fastest male and female in each age group, however the emphasis is on having fun and getting the school community together for some exercise in the fresh air.
The run itself will be starting promptly at 11:00 on Sunday 18th May from the playing field at The Rec. There will also be a fun, group warm for all runners at 10:45.
You are encouraged to enter online (here!!) in advance to ease the admin strain on the PTA volunteers, however limited entries will be available on the day, at increased cost. Entries on the day close strictly at 10:30, half an hour before race start.
Whilst a risk assessment has been completed and we are doing our best to put on a safe and fun event, all runners take part at their own risk. Parts of the course are uneven with pot holes and broken concrete, so caution will have to be taken. By entering, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
Role of the PTA
The PTA's role is to provide additional funding to the school through fundraising events and activities. In the current financial climate, schools are feeling the squeeze and if we want the best educational environment for our kids we all need to do our best to support the PTA and therefore, the school.
The PTA pays for or subsidises books, art materials, swimming lessons, clubs, sports and school trips to name a few, so make sure you do your bit by supporting the PTA where you can. Thanks.
