Email is a great way to reach a lot of people at the same time and promote your group’s work. But persuading people to take action after reading an email takes work.

In this two-part training session you’ll discover a proven formula to make your emails stand out in the inbox.

Week 1: Thursday 5 May - 7.30-8.30pm

In week one we’ll look at the theory behind successful emails and discuss examples. You’ll then be tasked to write your own email before we meet again.

Week 2: Thursday 12 May - 7.30-8.30pm

In week two we’ll come back together to review your work, share ideas and learn from each other. This session will mostly take place in small groups with a focus on reflection and sharing/receiving feedback.

If you'd like to help facilitate discussions in one of the small groups please tell us when registering. We'll provide some questions to guide the conversation.

Who is this course for?

This course is for groups who already send emails to a list or who are looking to start sending regular emails to their list.

You must also be prepared to spend 30-60 minutes in between the two sessions writing an email. This will involve collating and editing 3-4 short stories for an email and sourcing accompanying images.

The course will take place using Zoom and will be lead by Tom Wright from Friends of the Earth.
