Write Now 2018

This year’s event will be held on the afternoon of Saturday 17th November 2018.

The theme will be how to get published and we’ll be exploring the different avenues open to writers and the advantages of each.

Amy Durant from renowned London digital publisher Sapere Books will be talking to us about what they’re looking for from authors, how they work and what they offer.

Andrew Bibby, author and founder of Gritstone Publishing Co-operative will be showing us there are always other ways.

Simon Michael, a barrister turned traditionally published crime writer, will be sharing his experiences and thoughts on getting published.

Ruth Sutton, a self-published author, will be letting us know the pros and cons.

The afternoon will take the form of individual talks and then a moderated panel, with lots of chances for the audience to ask questions and get to grips with publishing opportunities today.

Do you have books to sell?

We will also be holding a book fair. Tables will cost £5 in addition to the Write Now ticket price. Any writer can take a table – just email us on the address above.

The venue will be the same as last year: Chorley’s St Mary’s Social Centre off West Street car park, accessed via Devonshire Road: PR7 2SR. There is free parking from 1pm.
