Join Lytisha for six weekly creative writing sessions, beginning on Wednesday 7th May, focussing on developing short stories.

These sessions will be held in The Place Activity Centre which is an accessible venue. There will not be a zoom option for this event.

Each session will begin with a warm up, a short writing exercise, then we will spend time working on short stories or poems from prompts. Each session will include feedback time.


About Lytisha.

Lytisha has an MA in Creative Writing and her stories have been published in various anthologies. She has written and developed a virtual reality poetry experience which has been shown at film and VR festivals worldwide. Lytisha is often found at poetry events, including performing at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, WOMAD, Ludlow Literature Festival and Nottingham Poetry festival. She has performed on BBC radio and Notts TV. Former Poet-in Residence at Wollaton Arts Festival, she is currently the Chair of Nottingham based DIY Poets.

Can I come if I've never written short stories before?

Yes! All abilities and experience levels are welcome.

Can I park at The Place?

There is very limited parking for blue badge holders in the small courtyard area. Other than that there are on-street parking options - check local signage - or there is a free car park at Winchester Street which is approximately a 7 minute walk from The Place.
