November is Academic Writing Month!

This annual event was established as a way to support academic writing via the #AcWriMo hashtag on Twitter. As part of our contribution to this global event, the LDC Development Team will be running writing events throughout the month of November, with the aim of bringing people together to raise awareness and celebrate academic writing.

This is one of four writing retreats we are hosting for up to 24 people. The retreat provides protected academic writing time for you. Together we bring our laptops and write together in order to accomplish our writing goals. We use peer accountability to help us avoid the distractions of email, social media, the internet, impending meetings, tea making, paperclip sorting, desk cleaning, lab work, or any other procrastination techniques you’ve been employing in your everyday working practice.

This session offers opportunities to gain skills/behaviours outlined in the following Researcher Development Framework (RDF) subdomains: A3 Creativity, A2 Cognitive abilities, B1 Personal qualities, B2 Self-management, B3 Professional and career development, D2 Communication.

Registration: You are recommended to use your University of Liverpool email to register on Eventbrite and then the calendar invitation will be added to your University calendar. We reserve the right to remove registrations of attendees who do not appear to be members of this University.
