Writing as Spiritual Practice returns with an invitation to cultivate the soil of our human potential so the teachings that find us may flourish in the ground of our being. Join a community of fellow beings on the field of language and literature to share thoughts, speech, and acts of writing, exploring above and below the ground of common experience.
These sessions are suitable for anyone with thirsty for connection beyond the mundane and the trivial. You don’t have to think of yourself as a writer to take part - while there will be writing exercises and opportunities to share and discuss outcomes and processes, there is no obligation to publicise your thoughts and feelings.
It's a bit like yoga, stretching and flexing the mind, cultivating and challenging conceptual frameworks and encouraging ourselves and others to live happier, healthier lives. There's a satsang vibe. A communion of people from a variety of paths and backgrounds.
"I appreciate the framework of meetings, settling, landing in the space, each giving a word and then time to free write and get thoughts out onto paper and shared, spoken into the space. After that the meeting has a fairly wuwei feel, allowing for things to arise gently.
The atmosphere is relaxed, respectful and generous, whilst we also have a good laugh. There is an amazing sense of connection in the meeting and of themes, circling, spiralling, evolving and returning. I would encourage anyone who journals or writes for self reflection to check out this group. "

ArtfulScribe is a writer development agency based in England with a focus towards empowering marginalised voices and providing a platform for these voices to be heard. By taking part in these sessions, you're joining a community of writers gathered to encourage everyone to love reading and writing; using words to reflect, strengthen and shape places and communities and the people that make them; empowering choice and agency.
We recognise barriers prevent people from engaging in reading and writing and because of this, all our children and young people work is free to access. We fund-raise to enable this support. If you can help and want to make meaningful difference in the lives of other people, please choose the premium pricing option. If, acting with integrity, you are in financial hardship and can't otherwise afford to attend, please select the pay-what-you-can-afford option.
