About this event

This free session will be structured with a range of gentle and mindful writing activities designed to inspire your imagination and generate a sense of well-being. The aim is to create a space for yourself – your thoughts, feelings, musings and memories.

No prior writing experience is needed – you will be encouraged to give yourself the permission to write freely – and to enjoy your creativity in a relaxed and completely non-judgemental small group setting.

There is no requirement or pressure for you to read your writing out loud in the group - although there will be space for those who choose to share their words if they wish, as this can be an enjoyable and connecting experience for everyone.

The workshop will be facilitated by Sharon Kirby, UKCP registered Psychotherapist, therapeutic writing practitioner and group facilitator. Sharon has extensive experience of working in the field of wellbeing and mental health.

If you have any questions before the workshop, please email us on teignmouth.library@librariesunlimited.org.uk and Sharon will get back to you. The workshop will take place within the main area of Teignmouth Library. Refreshments provided. There is no charge for the workshop, but donations are welcome. If you cannot attend this session, but would be interested in future Writing for Wellbeing sessions, please let staff at Teignmouth Library know.
