Do I need to be an experienced or confident writer to join?

Accepted Answer

No. All are welcome, no matter how much or little writing they've done. However, you'll get more out of the course if you're actively writing, whether or not you have a specific project to complete. Please get in touch if you want to know which B-Writing course is right for you.

Will I have to read out or share work?

Accepted Answer

Only if you want to. However, this course is designed to help you build the confidence to share work and you'll get the most out of it if you can work towards this.

How do I get to the Birmingham & Midland Institute?

The venue is 0.3 miles (about 6-10 minute walk depending on your walking speed!) from Birmingham Snow Hill station, 0.4 miles from Birmingham New Street station and 0.6 miles from Birmingham Moor St. It's also close to bus stops on Colmore Row.
