Join us for THIIIRD’s first writing workshop. Hosted by our founder, Rhona Ezuma, and joined by Dis/Comfort contributor Harper Walton.
Inspired by Harper's Dis/Comfort essay 'Oranda: Seeing Trans Bodies in Sculpture', we'll explore how objects become vessels for memory and identity through guided writing exercises. Together, we'll dive into our relationship between the material world and our inner lives, how we project ourselves onto objects and how they both reflect and distort our truths.
We ask that you bring an object or photo of an object that holds meaning for you, something that tells a story.
Open to writers at all levels. All you need is curiosity and a willingness to explore.
Book28 Library is located in The Outside Project LGBTIQ+ Centre

THIIIRD is an independent magazine and inclusive arts and culture platform, amplifying the voices and visibility of talent from underrepresented backgrounds. We centralise the thought, being and art of people of colour, queer, trans and non-binary people and others with underrepresented backgrounds.

Book28 is a Southwark-based queer lending library. Located at The Outside Project LGBTIQ+ Community Centre, we stock a comprehensive range of queer books, pamphlets, zines, and other materials. We operate a totally open service: no fees, no fines, no ID. Anyone can borrow for any length of time, because we believe in supplying literature for as long as people need it.
We're open every Saturday for the LGBTIQ+ public to browse our collection, and there's always a friendly librarian on hand to help and chat. All our events are free of charge. When you want to read queer, we're here!
