MEETING POINT at the East Sheen Chapel, in the East Sheen cemetery.
Discover local stories of those who served in the British and Commonwealth Armed Services in the Great War and World War Two, and how the CWGC maintains their memorials to 'Live For Evermore'. Explore the South African War Memorial, known as 'Soldier's Corner' and its significance in the Great War and local history.
The tour lasts approx. 70 mins and covers about 1000 metres on paths and grass with uneven ground. There is wheelchair access.
If you enter from Lower Grove Road, parking is available by the chapel or there is parking outside nearby. There are on-site facilities including toilets. Please bring water if required.
Please come dressed for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome in the cemetery.
Please note there can be last minute cancellations. This can be due to various reasons including illness, site issues and weather. We will email you as soon as we can, but this could include the morning of the tour, so please check your emails prior to leaving for the tour.
The Commonwealth War Graves Foundation (CWGF) aims to actively engage all communities with the work of the CWGC by telling the inspiring stories through education and outreach projects.
