XR Network+ is led by the University of York in collaboration with University of the Arts London, Ulster University, Cardiff University and Edinburgh University. The project is bringing together academia and industry across the UK to deliver research and innovation in XR and VP technologies.
CAMERA specialises in motion and entertainment research, using computer vision, machine learning, and AI to capture and digitise humans, animals, objects, and environments.
Through tools like motion capture, photogrammetry, 3D scanning, and volumetric capture, CAMERA collects and analyses image and motion data. This enables a better understanding of movement and form, helps to develop more efficient digital representations, and enhance performance—whether on stage, screen, track, or within the human body and mind.
CAMERA Facility Tour
There will be an opportunity for attendees to take a tour of CAMERA's newly refurbished facilities during the network session at the end of the day. Because spaces are limited it would be helpful to know in advance if you would like to take part in a tour. You can indicate your interest by answering 'Yes' when prompted at the end of the booking, to the question about the tour.
