This event examines how to unlock the potential of disengaged, disaffected young people in support of filling the construction industry skills gap.With over 200,000 shortfall in the construction sector workforce and almost 1 million young people not in education, employment, or training (NEETS) in England, much more needs to be done to support this potent yet untapped demographic within our young people.Providing ‘Pathways’ and giving or creating opportunities and alternative means for young people, especially disaffected and or disadvantaged young people, to train for employment opportunities in the construction industry is a win-win for employers and prospective young employees.At this year’s event we will hear from:•	Darryl Stewart, Head of Commercial Services, NHBC, ‘Skills &amp; Training Update’•	Ed Selwood, CFO, Volunteer it Yourself, ‘Making a Difference’•	Sam Downton, Director, The Skills Centre ‘Engaging behaviour in Construction Skills’•	Christian Hatherall Good, Training Manager, Lee Marley, ‘The way forward for skills’•	Kye Belmont, YBUK Young Builder of the Year Award Winner 2022, ‘My Story’The presentations will be followed the announcement of the launch of Young Builder Of the Year 2023.
