About this event

Attendees will:

  • meet Laura Bailey, Pobble's Head of Moderation. Laura is passionate about ensuring moderation opportunities are positive professional development activities that teachers find informative and helpful
  • further their understanding of how important it is to consider skill application across a range of writing opportunities when making a robust judgement
  • collaborate with peers to identify next steps
  • develop increased confidence and accuracy in assessing the writing
  • have an opportunity to explore what effective writing looks like within your year group through a standardisation activity
  • celebrate writing achievements and strengths within writing collections


Sessions will:

  • be interactive and will take place using Pobble’s moderation tool, alongside Zoom
  • require all attendees to have access to Zoom on their own device with a working microphone and video camera
  • require teachers to create 2 x moderation files in advance of the session (click here for a demo video)
  • involve teachers working in small breakout room groups for part of the session. Therefore we ask that teachers joining from the same school sign up individually and join from their own device in a well spaced setting to prevent sound feedback issues
