Year 9 Options Process Evening
Our Options Process Evening is being held to help you make informed decisions about what subjects are available to study in Years 10 & 11.
Deciding which subjects to study in Year 10 and 11 is an important and exciting part of being in Year 9. It provides pupils with the first opportunity to choose those subjects that interest them and that will help on their career pathways.
The foundations of a broad, balanced curriculum are laid in Years 7, 8 and 9 and this is continued in Years 10 and 11 where the curriculum is based on a core of subjects for all pupils and then complemented with an element of choice.
During the evening there will have an opportunity to attend a presentation to find out more about the options process by our Assistant Headteacher, Miss Keal and speak to teachers about the subject choices available.
Pupils will receive an information booklet during the first week after February half-term which will then be shared electronically and available on our website.
Unfortunately we don't have parking available on-site so please use the town centre car park and come to our Grammar School Road entrance.
The event will start promptly at 5.30pm so please arrive 5-10 minutes earlier.
