Yellow Warbler

The course runs on selected Saturdays from 2 - 4 pm. There's a maximum of six places available so that everyone gets a lot of value out of the course and can ask plenty of questions. The course is suited to anyone from beginner onwards.
The course starts with a cupping (coffee tasting) of some different origins and processes to give an idea of the range of flavours that can be had in speciality coffee. We then talk a little about the different factors that influence flavour - process, origin, roast etc. We then move on to brewing at home, where we go through the different variables in the brewing process (time, grind size, etc) the effect this has on the cup.
After the theory comes the practical - demonstrations of how to brew coffee using three of the most common methods: Aeropress, V60 and French press. After we've made one of each, we bring out lots of different coffees from various regions and roasters and everyone has a chance to make one or two of their own!
We finish by discussing buying coffee and equipment and giving some advice about how to get a good set up at home - to suit different budgets.
The cost of the course is £35 per person.
