Yes She Can, in partnership with Help Musicians, will take place on Thursday, 9th March at 229, The Venue, London.


The event is aimed at young women, predominantly 16-25, who want to learn much more about various careers in the music industry. The event is part of the UN Women’s #HeForShe Arts Week in London.


The afternoon starts with a panel followed by a mixture of further panels as well as break out sessions with practical, hands on demonstrations as well as small group sessions with industry experts.


There will be a strong emphasis on those roles where women are historically under represented e.g. Sound Engineer, Producer, Lighting Engineer, Tour Manager, Stage Manager etc by breaking down barriers to participation; real and perceived through networking and inspiration.


The afternoon ends with a final wrap up panel for everyone before an hour of networking. There will then be a gig in the evening - Doors 7pm with four performances finishes at 10.30pm.
